  • Experience with Computational neuroscience by making Machine learning models for spike sorting and getting good data from the insect brain 

  • Animal brain surgery procedure

  • Intensive training in animal care and management

AGUIRRE LAB

learning how to grow organelles using Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPSCs) and cell biology in cardiac tissue

  • Learning how to make heart organelles and precursors 

  • Aim to use neural stem cells later in my career, learning that research methodology now

  • Setting up basic knowledge regarding Stem cells and how to differentiate between good and bad tissues

RADD LAB

Volunteering at the RADD (Research in Autism and Developmental Disabilities) lab 

​

  • Understanding the actual clinical and educational side of developmental disabilities like 

  • Working alongside kids with Autism to help them with their conditions and developing advances that accelerate well-being 

  • Working with the sensor team that uses novel tech to find meaningful data to personalize education and teacher expectations in a classroom setting
